Greetings! I’m Charles Tsai, a multi-media producer and social innovator.
I’m a maker of media and other things that catch my interest. I also mentor others (mostly youth) to be makers. My focus now is to mobilize educators and entrepreneurs to innovate for the maker era, or as some call it, the Third (or even Fourth) Industrial Revolution.
In the last ten years, I’ve mentored hundreds of young changemakers through Ashoka, the world’s largest network of social entrepreneurs, and my own Vancouver-based charity, Social Creatives. I’ve also developed social innovation tools for Ashoka, the World Bank, and Adobe’s Youth Voices. With those tools, I regularly facilitate workshops and bootcamps for schools, community organizations and foundations.
Before venturing into social innovation, I worked as a reporter and producer for CNN at its Atlanta headquarters.
