I gave the main keynote address at the Global Initiatives Symposium with delegates from 18 countries. My talk centered on the role of social entrepreneurship in the next “green revolution.”
Workshop: Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship
Belgrade, Serbia – June 15 to 18, 2010
Through Ashoka’s Youth Venture and partner Booz Allen, I was invited to train NGOs and youth in innovation and social entrepreneurship. The youth are participants in an innovation competition organized by the Ministry of Finance.

University of Maryland – March 25, 2010
I conducted an introductory workshop on social entrepreneurship, exploring the difference between a “socially responsible business” and a “social enterprise,” how to address root causes, leverage social capital and measure outcomes.
Plenary: The Future of Innovation
Ashoka-Lemelson Tech4Society – February 12, 2010
I led a plenary that showcased young inventors who are developing technology for social good. We presented to an esteemed gathering of social entrepreneurs, including Ashoka Fellows and thought leaders working in the invention sector.

I gave a three hour workshop introducing students of Capilano College’s Global Stewardship Program to Theory of Change.
TEDxTaipei Speech: Inconvenient Youth
Taipei, Taiwan – October 17, 2009
I spoke at the inaugural TEDx event in Taipei.  The topic of my presentation was Inconvenient Youth, which gave an overview of the youth movement today.
